Weekend Last !

Spent my weekend reading Rage of Angels.. more on that in booksbyrotten. It rained most times so the weather was cool, good for reading.

The new bamboo chairs that I got are proving really good. Sturdy roomy enough to allow you to curl up on it, the round back allows you to slouch.

So I spent my weekend washing clothes, cooking and reading. Vairy productive. All I need to work on now is some kind of a good exercise regime.

Look for an exer-bike... something is better than nothing.

Did a bit of eene meene minee mo with my wishlist and then blew my gift certificate on Sea of Poppies. If this book turns out to be over-hyped, I will not trust anyone again. The book should be here within a day or so .. Tomorrow !

But the question is .. do I have time to read? do I have time to read?? Sigh .. I will be posting some more and try to clock my reading.

Well ..last night I spent about 10-15 minutes going through my treasured book on Women Sufi Poets in India published by Manushi. An excellent book that yeilds something good everytime i dip into it. That was productive reading !!

Uh oh! Also checked out the Hot Millions outlet in Panchkula.. fab.. rad.. Cant wait to try out their Cellar. If it is better than Down Under and Cellar-35 .. it would be great.

A few days back I spent a rivetting evening watching The Motorcycle Diaries on Zee Studio. Ever since then I had been spoiling to get the book. I would have had to drive far to the only good bookshop in Chandigarh, something I didnt want to do. Also, I wanted to get Sea of Poppies by Amitav Ghosh, after reading some good reviews. But again, the long drive deterred me. I thought about online shopping and went for it.. indiaplaza.in. The Sea of Poppies was a bit expensive and i deferred the purchase. But while browsing the titles I came across The Rage of Angels which had long been on my wishlist, so in that went into my cart. The site was prompt with the deliveries and I had the books in my hand in 3 days time as promised !!!

I read a few chapters of MD and half of the first chapter of RA. Dekho Dekho ! A couple of book reviews are in the offing !!!!
